Lately I have been exploring minimalism. I left my well paid corporate job to pursue my art and photography passions. My wife and I had to closely review our budget and lifestyle to determine what we actually need and want to have a fulfilling quality of life. How much can I take away to gain personal happiness and spiritual fulfillment? I loved my career and would not trade the experience or friendships, but I am loving this new phase of life to try new endeavors.
There is a stillness in minimalism. A peace that allows me to remain extremely active while taking time to enjoy the profoundness of simple gestures. Simple acts of selflessness, humility and kindness are often overlooked. But the world is enriched by them. In this piece "Woman's Gaze" I am reminded to slow down and let the image wait for the concept to reveal itself.
